First Congregational Church Our Interim Pastor Rev. Tim Diehl Born in Chicago, raised in Duluth, Minnesota, Tim Diehl the oldest of two sons; began his Christian ministry in Duluth. After serving the US Army (1967-1969) he accepted the youth pastor position of Westminster Presbyterian Church where he served for six years. Encouraged by a host of friends and colleagues, he completed his undergraduate and seminary training at Bethel College and Seminary in St. Paul. He served on the staff of Knox Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis while at Bethel; served first as a student pastor and upon ordination led First Presbyterian Church in Hinckley until 1984 when he accepted the Call to Faith Presbyterian Church in Ackley, Iowa where he served 20 years before his honorable retirement. Prior to coming to Buffalo Center he served as Interim Pastor for churches in Garner and Clear Lake, Iowa. He and his wife Gayle have six children and 11 grandchildren and maintain their home in Hollandale, Minnesota.
